I recently received my Balan’s 435B humidor. While it took 2.5 months to receive, I saved a considerable amount of money and received a wonderful, good looking cabinet, that has been engineered for ease of use and great cigar storage.
While it was a long wait, the communication was fantastic. The guy I communicated with (ashamed I do not know his name), went out of his way to get me information, answer questions and provide great customer service.
The delivery was smooth, the setup and season was easy. My unit was at the temp and humidity I set in two days.
The app is a little awkward, but figuring that out.

The open shelving is probably my favorite feature of the BXW-435. I can see my entire collection at a glance and quickly find the cigar I want without moving boxes around. The shelves also make it easy to organize cigars by brand, size, or country. For someone who prefers individual cigar storage, this design works extremely well.
I've had the BALANS BXW-435 for a little while now, and so far I'm really happy with it. It arrived faster than I expected, and although the box was pretty heavy, everything was packed very well. There was no damage to the cabinet when I unpacked it.
The first thing I noticed when I opened the door was the Spanish cedar smell. It has that nice, familiar cigar-room smell that I was hoping for. There was a little bit of a new-product smell as well, but that went away after letting the cabinet air out and seasoning it properly.
I took my time getting everything ready before putting my cigars inside. I used distilled water for the initial seasoning and let the cabinet run for a while before loading it. I also put a couple of hygrometers inside so I could keep an eye on the conditions rather than relying only on the built-in display.
After the initial adjustment period, the temperature and humidity settled down nicely. I did notice some fluctuation at first, but after giving it enough time to stabilize, the readings became much more consistent. For me, that's more important than having everything immediately perfect right out of the box.
The BXW-435A has a really nice look to it. The glass door makes it easy to see the cigars without constantly opening the cabinet, and the interior lighting is useful when I'm looking for a particular cigar. The overall design feels much more like a proper cigar cabinet than a converted beverage cooler.
The amount of storage space is also a big improvement over my smaller humidors. I can finally organize my cigars without having to squeeze everything together. I would still recommend leaving some extra room rather than trying to fill every available inch. It makes organizing the collection easier and gives you room to add more cigars later.
I've also been pleasantly surprised by the noise level. You can hear the fans and cooling system from time to time, but it's fairly quiet overall. I have it in a room where I spend a lot of time and it hasn't been distracting.
One thing I would recommend to anyone buying a cabinet like this is to be patient during the first few days. Give it time to stabilize, check the humidity in different areas, and make adjustments gradually. Once everything is dialed in, it becomes a very low-maintenance way to store a larger collection.
Overall, I'm very pleased with the BXW-435. It looks good, has plenty of space, and has been doing a great job keeping my cigars in a stable environment. For anyone who has outgrown a desktop humidor but doesn't want an enormous cabinet, this feels like a really nice middle ground.
