One of the biggest reasons I chose the BXW-308 was the active temperature and humidity control. After getting it set up, maintaining the environment has been much easier than with my previous humidors. I really like being able to check the settings on the digital touchscreen, and the airflow throughout the cabinet has been very consistent.
This is more than just a storage cabinet-it looks great as part of the room. The tempered glass door, warm interior lighting and clean finish give it a premium appearance. I can easily see my entire collection through the door, while the controlled environment gives me peace of mind that the cigars are being stored properly. Very happy with the BXW-308.
I don't usually leave reviews, but I've been pretty happy with the BALANS BXW-308 so far.
I live in a very humid area, and keeping my cigars at the right humidity has always been a bit of a headache. On some days the humidity outside is around 80% or even higher, so I wanted something that could handle that without me constantly messing with it.
I let the BXW-308 run for a couple of days before putting my cigars in. After that, it settled in pretty quickly. I also keep a Caliber hygrometer inside just to double-check things, and the readings have been pretty close to what the cabinet shows.
So far, the temperature and humidity have been staying where I set them. I've opened the door plenty of times and obviously the readings move around a little, but they come back to normal without any trouble. That's probably the biggest thing I was looking for.
I also like having more space than I actually need right now. My collection isn't huge, but it's nice not having to squeeze everything together. Most of my cigars are on the larger side, and I still have plenty of room left.
The cabinet looks good and is quieter than I expected. I have it in a room where I spend quite a bit of time, and the noise really hasn't bothered me.
I've only had it for a short time, so I can't really speak to long-term reliability yet, but my first impression has been very good. For the money, I'm happy with it and would buy it again.
